Detach the smoke alarm from the mounting base by twisting counter clockwise and replace the battery respecting the polarities and making sure it doesn’t loose in the battery compartment. After replacement, attach the alarm to the base by twisting clockwise. Always test the alarm after battery replacement. Please note that 10Y battery are not replaceable. Before replacing the battery, we recommend cleaning the battery terminals both on the battery and the alarm (preferably with alcohol).
